Brad Ceaser, a three-sport star and 1971 EHS graduate, played football, basketball and ran track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt all started for me at Charles Drew,\u201d Ceaser said \u201cFred Alfred was my head coach and then I played two years for coach Joe Nagata at Eunice High School.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCoach Alfred said it takes concentration, dedication, and hard work to be a good athlete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThose words motivated me when I crossed over to Eunice High School.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He earned the Rotary Club award for the best EHS senior athlete and eared the Jimmy Meeks Memorial Award as the teams outstanding lineman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceaser played on the offensive and defensive line and spent time at tight end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceaser stated, \u201cIt didn\u2019t really matter to me what position I was at, I just loved playing football.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceaser earned defensive all-state honors his senior season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was the first Bobcat to be named to the all-state list since Jonny Barzaar in 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceaser also earned outstanding defensive basketball player honors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In track, he ran the 400-meters an threw the javelin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ceaser was a defensive end at Southern University before joining the Marine Corps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Ceaser left Southern and went into the military, he served overseas in Athens, Greece and Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He then started working in the oil field and spent many years at Glendale Elementary as the school\u2019s custodian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
