Sylvia A. “Cici” Coward Pratt

Sylvia A. “Cici” Coward Pratt, graduated from Eunice High School in 1970 and is a distinguished retired military veteran and federal service paralegal with a passion for community involvement and diverse interests in athletics, music, and volunteer work.

During her high school years, Ms. Pratt excelled in both academics and athletics. She made her mark in various sports, including track and field, basketball, softball, and volleyball. She established two records in track and field and was a three-time letter in both track and field and basketball, earning all-state honors in both sports.

After high school, Ms. Pratt joined the United States Air Force (USAF), becoming the first female military member in her family to serve. She served with distinction, earning promotions and high honors for her dedicated service, including serving overseas in Vietnam and Desert Storm. Ms. Pratt held prestigious positions such as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for the Legal Services Agency for the International Law Division in Washington DC and NCOIC to the Executive Office for the USAF, The Judge Advocate General (TJAG), at the Pentagon in Arlington, Va. She retired from the USAF with the grade of MSgt.

Following her military career, Ms. Pratt furthered her education, earning a Paralegal degree from the USAF Air University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College. She joined the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 1995 as a Paralegal, becoming the first Paralegal hired in the Chief Counsel Division. Ms. Pratt served in various roles and divisions within the ATF, supporting high-profile cases and coordinating professional training for several Chief Counsel Management Attorneys.

Ms. Pratt is a dedicated community member, participating in diverse groups within the ATF.  Additionally, she has been actively involved in non-athletic activities, including a bowling league, music club as a choir member, Ladies of Auxiliary (Saint Mary’s of the Assumption Church), and as a volunteer for the Catholic Group CCD.

Ms. Pratt is married to Douglas G. Pratt.
