Robert Turk

Robert Turk is the third member of his family to be enshrined in the EHS Athletic Hall of Fame, joining brothers Frank and Joe.

Turk, a tough middle linebacker who was a two-time all-district and all-state pick in football, also lettered three years in baseball as a two-time all-district selection and three years in track and field also.

He went on to play catcher at USL, where he lettered two years.

Only a sophomore on that Rambo Squad team, he learned from those around him. That included his brother Joe, who was a key player in the school’s 1982 state title team.

Turk, who was a four-year starter in football, attributes much of his success to his brothers who set the standard and the coaching of Johnny Bourque.

He grew with Bobcat football, going from a 3-7 team his freshman season to the state semifinals on the 1985 team known as the “Rambo Squad”, still one of Eunice High’s most storied football teams to this day.

Turk, still in Eunice to this day, runs a successful chiropractic practice and has two sons, senior Carl and sophomore Morgan, that are currently enrolled at Eunice High. He is happily married to his, Nicole.
