Earl Kelly was one of Eunice High’s fiercest playmakers of all-time.
In his time at EHS, Kelly’s list of accomplishments on the gridiron are astounding. As a senior, he was first-team all-district as both a receiver and defensive back, first-team all-parish at both positions, an LFCA all-state pick as a defensive back, an honorable menition all-stater at wide receiver, broke Eunice High’s record for most receptions in a seaon siwth 39 and set the single-game record with four interceptions.
Eunice High also seved as Kelly’s gateway into coaching, which he’s done for 34 years. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Valentena, for 33 years and has four children: Domonique, Victoria, Olivia and Jordan. He welcomed his first grandchild in 2020.
He was an assistant during Eunice High’s superdome run before moving on to Beaumont, where he won three championships in five years. He strongly believes in academics before athletics.
As he enters retirement, he looks forward to watching his youngest son play wide receiver at Central MIchigan University.
Kelly is grateful for the love and life that football has given him.
